The heat shield ensures that the food is not directly exposed to the fire, ensuring ideal cooking.

For an authentic Japanese preparation you can combine the Kamado with the Teppanyaki plate. To give your dishes the ultimate taste sensation, use the woodchipper to add smoking wood without having to open the lid of the Kamado, which prevents heat loss. The access to the woodchipper is double insulated, allowing you to operate the Kamado without burning your fingers.
