The origins of EldurApi lie in Peter De Clercq's passion for food and fire, a love that began at a young age and blossomed when he co-founded restaurant Elckerlijc in 1996, together with another avid barbecue enthusiast. After writing the first Dutch-language book on barbecuing, "Eigentijds Barbecuen" (Contemporary Barbecue), and winning the World Barbecue Championship in Jamaica, Peter realized he wanted to help others transform from home cooks to true master chefs.
According to Peter De Clercq, a good chef is an artist, but not every artist is a good cook. In the kitchen, you truly have to be an artist to create a delicious dish. For him, flavorful cuisine is the foundation of success. And what better way to create flavor than with high-quality seasonings like herbs and spices? That's how EldurApi was born, where "Eldur" means fire in Icelandic and "Api" is the Malay word for fire. The EldurApi logo symbolizes fire in Japanese.
At BBQ Valley, we've chosen to offer EldurApi because we believe in Peter De Clercq's commitment to helping others transform into true master chefs. The EldurApi range includes aromatic coconut briquettes, marinades, (fire) herbs, rubs, salts, wine barrel chips, injection mixes, and accompanying accessories such as syringes and a set of six steak knives. With EldurApi, we bring not only high-quality products to your barbecue, but also the passion and expertise of a true master chef. Transform your culinary adventure with EldurApi and discover the art of barbecuing at a whole new level.
