    The YAKINIKU LARGE Kamado solo basic comes standard with an ash pan and coal basket, making it easy to remove ash and charcoal. All this ensures that with a Kamado from YAKINIKU® you not only get a high-quality product, but also provide your garden or outdoor kitchen with a luxurious look. The grilling surface of the LARGE Solo Basic is easy to expand with the extra raised rack and the pro set. The extra raised grill increases the surface area by 70%, while the pro set offers extra flexibility because you can grill at different levels. The pro set also allows you to expose ingredients to both direct and indirect heat, allowing you to sear meat on one side while it continues cooking on the other, ensuring perfect cooking.

    At the front of the Kamado, in the 'belly', there is something that makes our Kamados unique: an opening to the coal fire. This makes it easy to add smoking wood to your burning Kamado. This can be done using our Woodchipper, which allows you to add smoking wood without having to open the lid and therefore not lose any heat. The access to the woodchipper is double insulated, so you can operate the Kamado without burning your fingers.

    YAKINIKU® was born from a deep-rooted passion for fire and grilling.

    The Kamado

    It all began during Japan’s Edo period (1603–1867) — the start of a remarkable culinary era. Samurai and wealthy merchants enjoyed lavish meals, leading restaurants to develop large cooking stoves. This was the birth of the Kamado.
    The Kamado played a key role in the evolution of Japanese gastronomy. It wasn’t until after World War II that Kamados became known in the Western world, when the U.S. military noticed these cooking devices being used by the Japanese army.
