The origins of EldurApi lie in Peter De Clercq's passion for food and fire, a love that began at a young age. In 1996, he and another avid grill enthusiast founded the restaurant Elckerlijc, where his culinary vision blossomed. After writing the first Dutch-language book on barbecuing, "Eigentijds Barbecuen" (Contemporary Barbecue), and winning the World Barbecue Championship in Jamaica, Peter decided to share his knowledge. His mission: to transform every home cook into a true master chef.
According to Peter, a good chef is an artist, but not every artist is a good chef. In the kitchen, everything revolves around creating flavor and experience. This philosophy forms the foundation of EldurApi. The name combines two words for fire—"Eldur" from Icelandic and "Api" from Malaysian—and the logo symbolizes fire in Japanese. Everything at EldurApi exudes passion, craftsmanship, and warmth.
EldurApi stands for refined seasonings that elevate every dish. The range includes marinades , rubs , salts , wine barrel chips , herbs , injection mixes, and accessories such as syringes . Each product is developed with attention to detail and with one goal: transforming your barbecue into a culinary experience.
