With this pan you can effortlessly collect moisture and fat while grilling, keeping your Kamado clean and preventing smoke development, resulting in a stable temperature. In addition to collecting fat, you can also use the drip pan to prepare ingredients, such as cooking a chicken in hay. In addition, the drip pan is ideal for adding a wine aroma to your dishes or creating moist air in your Kamado. Made of aluminum, the drip pan is easy to clean. To optimally protect the pan, you can place a baking mat in the pan before use, which makes cleaning easier.     The Kamado

    It all began during Japan’s Edo period (1603–1867) — the start of a remarkable culinary era. Samurai and wealthy merchants enjoyed lavish meals, leading restaurants to develop large cooking stoves. This was the birth of the Kamado.
    The Kamado played a key role in the evolution of Japanese gastronomy. It wasn’t until after World War II that Kamados became known in the Western world, when the U.S. military noticed these cooking devices being used by the Japanese army.
