With a grilling surface of 49 cm you can easily prepare multiple dishes at the same time. That is why the LARGE Kamado is one of the most popular models in the series. You can combine the kamado with a cast iron grill for a delicious grilled flavor to the meat, or with a pizza stone to transform the kamado into a pizza oven.
The LARGE comes standard with an ash pan and coal basket, which makes it easy to remove ash and charcoal. With a Kamado from YAKINIKU® you not only get a high-quality product, but you also give your garden or outdoor kitchen a luxurious look. Just like the XLARGE, the grilling surface of the LARGE can easily be expanded with an extra raised rack (not included in this set). This additional grid increases the surface area by 70%, so distributing different types of food has never been easier.
With the woodchipper you add smoking wood without having to open the lid, so you don't lose any heat. The access to the woodchipper is double insulated, so you can operate the Kamado without burning your fingers. The air slider, at the bottom of the Kamado, consists of several small air holes that converge in a point, allowing you to control the temperature very accurately.

The Kamado
It all began during Japan’s Edo period (1603–1867) — the start of a remarkable culinary era. Samurai and wealthy merchants enjoyed lavish meals, leading restaurants to develop large cooking stoves. This was the birth of the Kamado.
The Kamado played a key role in the evolution of Japanese gastronomy. It wasn’t until after World War II that Kamados became known in the Western world, when the U.S. military noticed these cooking devices being used by the Japanese army.
