The Van Lemmen Neapolitan Pizza Ball Ready-Made 240g is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy a real Neapolitan pizza without making the dough themselves. The dough ball is prepared fresh weekly according to a traditional recipe using Caputo pizza flour, water, fresh yeast, and Sicilian sea salt. After ripening for at least 30 hours, the balls are perfectly shaped and frozen to preserve quality.
The pizza dough ball is shipped frozen and often arrives at refrigerator temperature. You can refreeze it immediately (keeps for up to 6 months) or thaw it before use. Let the ball thaw in the refrigerator for 16 to 24 hours and then let it rise at room temperature for at least 5 hours, preferably 8 hours, before baking.
Do you want extra airy pizzas? Then let the dough rest in the refrigerator for an extra 24 to 48 hours. As soon as the pizza oven or oven is up to temperature (approx. 400°C for Neapolitan, as hot as possible for a home oven), stretch the dough by hand to about 26 cm. Dust your pizza peel with some flour or semolina, top with your favorite toppings, and bake until the crust is a beautiful golden brown.
