The Van Lemmen Neapolitan Pizza Ball Ready-Made 240g is ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy a true Neapolitan pizza without making their own dough. The dough ball is freshly prepared weekly according to a traditional recipe with Caputo pizza flour, water, fresh yeast, and Sicilian sea salt. After maturing for at least 30 hours, the balls are perfectly rounded and frozen to preserve their quality.
The pizza ball is shipped frozen and often arrives at refrigerator temperature. You can refreeze it immediately (it will keep for up to 6 months) or let it thaw before use. Let the ball thaw in the refrigerator for 16 to 24 hours and then let it rise at room temperature for at least 5 hours, preferably 8 hours, before baking.
Want extra-fluffy pizzas? Let the dough rest in the refrigerator for an additional 24 to 48 hours. Once the pizza oven or oven is up to temperature (approximately 400°C for a Neapolitan pizza, as hot as possible for a home oven), stretch the dough by hand to about 26 cm. Dust your pizza peel with some flour or semolina, top with your favorite toppings, and bake until the crust is golden brown.
