With the Shichirin you can organize a wonderful evening program, where all guests can enjoy a (summer) gourmet meal and be their own table chef! The Shichirin is also very popular in winter for a cozy winter barbecue with friends or family under the canopy. The round Shichirin comes with a stainless steel rack on which you can prepare the tastiest Japanese dishes. This rack has a slight curve, so that the heat and air circulation are evenly distributed over the surface, which prevents certain parts of your ingredients from cooking too quickly or too slowly.
With a grilling surface of 31 cm, the round Shichirin is ideal for preparing small pieces of meat, fish, vegetables or a large piece to enjoy together. The Shichirin is suitable for 2 to 6 people. When used for two people, you can choose to fill only half with charcoal.
The Shichirin, also known as the Japanese table grill, is made of ceramic with quartz, cordierite and fired at a high temperature. This makes the Shichirin very easy to clean. With the ventilation sliders you can create perfect air circulation, allowing you to regulate the temperature and easily reach high temperatures. Thanks to the ceramic coating, the Japanese BBQ is also perfect for winter use, as it protects against rain and snow and is weather resistant. The Kamado
It all began during Japan’s Edo period (1603–1867) — the start of a remarkable culinary era. Samurai and wealthy merchants enjoyed lavish meals, leading restaurants to develop large cooking stoves. This was the birth of the Kamado.
The Kamado played a key role in the evolution of Japanese gastronomy. It wasn’t until after World War II that Kamados became known in the Western world, when the U.S. military noticed these cooking devices being used by the Japanese army.
