Looking for Monolith accessories for your kamado? Choose accessories based on your model and size. At BBQ Valley, you will find extensions for the ONE, TWO, Avantgarde, Junior, and ICON, among others, from grill grates and heat shields to pizza stones, rotisserie, plancha, and the Smart Grid System.
When choosing Monolith accessories, size is particularly important. An accessory for a .55 kamado does not automatically fit a .66, Junior, or ICON. Therefore, first check which Monolith model you have and then choose the correct size.
| Monolith format | Current models | Older name you might come across |
|---|---|---|
| .55 | ONE.55, TWO.55, Avantgarde.55 | Classic |
| .66 | ONE.66, TWO.66, Avantgarde.66 | LeChef |
| Junior | Monolith Junior | Junior |
| ICON | Monolith ICON | ICON |
The names Classic and LeChef are still frequently used for older Monolith accessories. Classic corresponds to the well-known .55 size, and LeChef to the larger .66 size. Always check the actual product compatibility for each accessory before ordering.
A kamado becomes more versatile when you can combine direct and indirect cooking. With deflector stones, grill grates, risers, and matching parts, you can redistribute the heat and create different cooking zones.
This is handy when, for example, you want to cook meat slowly indirectly first and then finish grilling it over direct heat. With the right Monolith accessories, you don't have to switch barbecues for this.
The Monolith Smart Grid System, often abbreviated to SGS, was developed to combine different cooking zones and grilling heights within a single kamado. The system works with shared components, allowing you to use, for example, one side directly and the other side indirectly.
This makes the SGS particularly interesting for outdoor cooks who want to combine various ingredients and techniques during the same preparation.
With a suitable Monolith pizza stone, you transform the kamado into a ceramic oven. In combination with indirect heat, the stone heats up evenly, and you use the heat from the ceramic BBQ for pizza, bread, and other dough preparations.
Always choose a pizza stone that fits the size of your kamado and ensure that sufficient air and indirect heat can circulate around the stone.
With a rotisserie, you can slowly rotate ingredients over charcoal. This distributes the heat more evenly, allowing you to cook items such as chicken, roasts, and other larger preparations all around.
Size is also a determining factor for a rotisserie. Therefore, check whether the version is suitable for your .55 or .66 Monolith.
A plancha offers a different way of outdoor cooking compared to a traditional grill grate. On the flat surface, you can prepare vegetables, fish, small ingredients, and breakfast dishes, for example, without them falling through the grate.
Cast iron grates are particularly interesting when you want to use a lot of direct heat and create distinct grill marks. This allows you to tailor your Monolith specifically to your preferred cooking method.
If you have a current Monolith TWO.55 or an older Classic model, focus your search on the .55 accessories. The name Classic is still widely used for older products and search queries, whereas current Monolith models use the .55 designation.
Also check out the Monolith TWO.55 if you want to see how the current .55 system is built.
The .66 models are larger and therefore require accessories with matching dimensions. The name LeChef is mainly found on older generations and existing accessories. The current large TWO model is called TWO.66.

Specific accessories are available for the Junior that are tailored to its compact size. This allows you to expand even this smaller ceramic BBQ for various cooking methods without using unnecessarily large accessories.
The compact ICON has its own dimensions and applications. Therefore, check specifically under accessories whether ICON is listed as a compatible model.
Not every outdoor cook needs the same accessories right away. Therefore, start with what you actually want to prepare.
If you primarily want to cook low and slow, a good indirect setup and temperature control are important. If you want to bake pizza, a pizza stone is a logical addition. The Smart Grid System offers great flexibility for various cooking zones and grill heights. Those who enjoy cooking on a spit, on the other hand, might benefit more from a rotisserie.
This way, you avoid buying accessories that are hardly used.
