From beginner to expert
The Traeger Woodridge Elite is the most complete pellet grill in the Woodridge series. It combines the convenience of automatic temperature control with ample cooking space, Super Smoke, WiFIRE, and practical extras such as an integrated storage cabinet and a fold-down side rack. This makes this Traeger particularly interesting if you regularly barbecue extensively and are looking for a pellet grill that takes a lot of the work off your hands.
You set the desired temperature, and the Woodridge Elite then automatically regulates the supply of pellets and air. This allows you to slow cook at low temperatures as well as grill, bake, roast, and barbecue without having to constantly adjust the fire yourself.
With a total cooking surface of 6,258 cm², the Woodridge Elite offers plenty of space for larger parties. The lower grate has a surface area of 3,774 cm² and the upper grate 2,484 cm².
According to Traeger, this offers sufficient capacity for, for example, six whole chickens, eight racks of ribs, or eight pieces of pulled pork at the same time. This makes the Woodridge Elite suitable not only for a family but also for larger barbecue evenings and long low-and-slow cooking times.
Do you want to add more wood smoke flavor during a low and slow cook? Then use the Super Smoke function. This function increases the amount of smoke at lower temperatures and is particularly useful for pulled pork, spareribs, brisket, and other dishes where smoky flavor plays an important role.
The maximum temperature of the Woodridge Elite is 260 °C. This allows you to use it not only for slow cooking and smoking, but also for cooking at higher temperatures.
Thanks to Wi-Fi, you connect the Woodridge Elite to the Traeger app. After manually starting the grill, you can check and adjust the temperature via your smartphone and monitor the progress of your cooking.
The Woodridge Elite is also suitable for use with temperature probes. A wired meat thermometer is included, and the controller also supports compatible wireless probes via Bluetooth.
The digital pellet sensor keeps track of how many pellets are left in the pellet hopper. You can also check the level via the Traeger app. This is especially useful during longer cooking sessions where you want to prevent the hopper from running empty unnoticed.
The pellet reservoir has a capacity of approximately 11 kg. Additionally, the hopper clean-out allows you to easily remove the pellets when you want to switch to a different wood type or flavor.
After a long barbecue, you don't want to spend unnecessary time cleaning. That is why the Woodridge Elite uses the EZ Clean system, where grease and ash are directed to a single, easily accessible collection bin.
This eliminates the need to remove grease and ash from various places in the grill. Regular maintenance remains necessary, but daily cleaning becomes much easier with this.
An important difference compared to the other Woodridge models is the integrated storage cabinet under the grill. Here you can neatly store barbecue tools and accessories out of sight.
Additionally, there is a fold-down side rack on the side that provides extra space during preparation and serving. If you do not need this space, you can fold the rack down so that the grill takes up less space.
The Woodridge Elite is equipped with the PAL Pop And Lock system. This allows you to attach various accessories to the grill rail and arrange the workspace to your liking.
The grill is also compatible with ModiFIRE accessories. This allows you to further expand the capabilities of the grilling system without needing a different barbecue for every cooking technique.
The Woodridge Pro and Woodridge Elite both feature a 6,258 cm² cooking surface, a maximum temperature of 260 °C, WiFIRE, Super Smoke, and a pellet sensor. The difference therefore lies primarily in the design and ease of use.
The Woodridge Elite adds, among other things, an integrated storage cabinet and a larger, fold-down worktop. Choose the Elite especially if you want a complete barbecue setup where accessories and tools can be neatly stored.
Are you primarily looking for the same cooking capacity and features such as Wi-Fi and Super Smoke, but have less need for the extra storage space and finish? Then the Woodridge Pro is probably the more logical choice.
