What is a DIRTY JACK kitchen towel?

A DIRTY JACK is no ordinary tea towel. This cooking towel has been specially developed for use while cooking and barbecuing.
The double weave and the high fabric weight of 330 grams per square meter result in a sturdy cloth that feels pleasant in the hand and is more heat-insulating than a standard tea towel.

You use it, for example, to briefly grab a hot pan or roasting tray, wipe your hands, or keep your workspace clean.

Why a DIRTY JACK at the BBQ?

During a BBQ session, something is constantly happening around the barbecue. A pan needs to be moved, your hands are covered in sauce, or you want to quickly clean your work surface.

That is exactly why a large and sturdy BBQ cloth is handy.

DIRTY JACK is popular among kamado, pellet grill, and outdoor cooking enthusiasts because the same cloth can be used for various tasks. As a result, it is often within reach just as often while barbecuing as a good pair of tongs or a thermometer.

DIRTY JACK versus an ordinary tea towel

A regular tea towel is primarily intended for drying. DIRTY JACK, however, developed the cooking cloth specifically for use while cooking.
The difference lies mainly in the thickness and double weave. As a result, a DIRTY JACK feels sturdier and heat penetrates the fabric less quickly.

Hanging it up has also been practically solved. Instead of a small loop, the DIRTY JACK has a sturdy buttonhole.
A DIRTY JACK is heat-resistant, but not fireproof. Always use suitable heat-resistant BBQ gloves for extremely hot parts or direct contact with fire.

A kitchen towel for both BBQ and kitchen

You don't have to use a DIRTY JACK only next to the barbecue.

A large kitchen towel is also practical for the stovetop, oven, or pizza oven. Use it while preparing dishes, for hot dishes, or simply to clean your hands in between.
This makes a DIRTY JACK interesting for both avid BBQ lovers and home cooks.

Which DIRTY JACK kitchen towel do you choose?

The functionality of the various DIRTY JACK cooking cloths is largely the same. The difference lies mainly in color and appearance.
At BBQ Valley, you will find various Charcoal versions with colored labels and lighter Kitchen Editions. Additionally, there are regular special collaborations and limited editions. This allows you to choose a version that matches your kamado, pellet grill, outdoor kitchen, or kitchen.

DIRTY JACK with kamado, pellet grill and pizza oven

The DIRTY JACK is versatile for outdoor cooking. With a kamado, you regularly work with grates, cast iron pans, and roasting trays.
With a pellet grill, you move trays and accessories around, and a sturdy kitchen towel is also practical around a pizza oven.

This makes the DIRTY JACK a simple accessory that you can continue to use during various outdoor cooking sessions.

Size and maintenance

After washing, a DIRTY JACK cooking towel has a generous size of approximately 55 by 65 centimeters. This provides you with enough cloth to grip it firmly or fold it in half.
Wash a new kitchen towel before first use. This improves moisture absorption and allows the towel to reach its final size.

Always check the washing instructions for your model before washing. For the current DIRTY JACK Charcoal models, the manufacturer recommends washing at a maximum of 60 degrees.

Dirty Jack at BBQ Valley

At BBQ Valley, we choose accessories that truly add value to barbecuing. Dirty Jack does this by combining durability, absorbency, and extra heat resistance in one practical cooking cloth.

Use it for cleaning, drying, and brief contact with hot parts. Always fold the cloth in half when exposed to heat, and keep in mind that cotton is heat-resistant but not fireproof.

This way, you use your Dirty Jack safely, practically, and with pleasure during every barbecue session.
