The Valhal Outdoor scrub mat is a useful tool for cleaning your cast iron pans. The braided stainless steel rings allow you to easily remove caked-on food residues, without damaging the patina of your pan or using dishwashing liquid. You can reuse the scrub mat countless times and it is very easy to clean. A cast iron pan acquires an increasingly beautiful layer through use. This makes the pan increasingly pleasant to use and you naturally want to keep this carefully built-up patina intact as much as possible. Using soap when you wash your pan breaks down this layer. How do you best clean your pan? This is very easy to do by using the scrub mat. 1. Let your cast iron pan cool completely after use. 2. Then fill it with warm water (note: never leave water in your cast iron pan for a long time). 3. Use the scrub mat to scrub the food remains from your pan, do not use a cleaning products. 4. Then rinse your pan well and dry. 5. If necessary, you can rub the pan with the wax after use to care for your cast iron. 6. Make sure you always let your cast iron pan dry completely before putting it away again.
