Traeger Woodridge: wood-fired barbecuing with maximum convenience

The Traeger Woodridge is a modern pellet grill for those who want to combine the taste of wood cooking with simple temperature control. You set the desired temperature, and the grill then automatically regulates the supply of pellets and air, keeping the temperature as stable as possible. As a result, you need to attend to the fire much less during long cooking times than with a traditional charcoal barbecue.

With a 5,548 cm² cooking surface, Wi-Fi, a fully digital controller, and the EZ-Clean grease and ash collection system, the Woodridge offers great convenience without having to immediately upgrade to the more extensive Woodridge Pro or Elite. This makes it an interesting pellet grill for both beginners and experienced barbecuers looking primarily for control, space, and ease of use.

5,548 cm² cooking surface for both small and large preparations

The Traeger Woodridge features two grill levels with a total cooking surface of 5,548 cm². This gives you ample space to prepare multiple dishes simultaneously or slow-cook larger cuts of meat.

Traeger states a practical capacity of up to 6 whole chickens, 8 racks of ribs, or 6 pieces of pork butt. This makes the Woodridge suitable not only for a family but also for larger barbecue evenings where you want to prepare multiple dishes simultaneously.

Set-It & Forget-It with precise temperature control

An important advantage of a pellet grill is that you do not have to constantly adjust the temperature manually. Set the desired temperature on the digital controller, and the Woodridge automatically regulates the pellet feed and airflow.

The maximum set temperature is 260 °C. This allows you to use the Woodridge for many different cooking techniques, from gentle smoking and low & slow cooking to grilling, baking, roasting, braising, and barbecuing.

Operate and control the Woodridge with Wi-Fi

Thanks to WiFIRE, you connect the Traeger Woodridge to your Wi-Fi network and the Traeger app. After manually starting the grill, you can use your smartphone to check the current grill temperature and adjust the set temperature, among other things.

This is especially convenient for longer cooking times. You don't have to constantly stand next to the pellet grill to check if the temperature is still right, and you can easily monitor the progress via the app.

Measuring temperature with wired and wireless probes

A wired meat thermometer is included with the Traeger Woodridge. This allows you to monitor the core temperature of, for example, pulled pork, chicken, or a large piece of beef while barbecuing.

The controller also supports compatible wireless meat thermometers via Bluetooth. This allows you to further expand the Woodridge later if you want to accurately monitor different preparations simultaneously.

Approximately 11 kg of pellets in the pellet reservoir

The pellet reservoir has a capacity of approximately 11 kg. This provides a sufficient supply for longer barbecue sessions without having to constantly refill the pellets. Actual pellet consumption depends on, among other things, the set temperature, outside temperature, weather conditions, and how often you open the lid.

Do you want to switch pellet types? You can easily remove the pellets from the reservoir using the hopper clean-out. This allows you to switch, for example, from a neutral wood type to pellets with a more pronounced flavor without having to burn through the entire reservoir first.

EZ-Clean makes maintenance easier

With a pellet grill, both ash and grease are released. The Woodridge therefore uses the EZ-Clean Grease & Ash Keg system. Grease and ash are directed to a single, easily accessible collection tray, making it easier to clean the grill.

Regular maintenance remains important for reliable operation and a stable temperature, but the EZ-Clean system makes removing grease and ash significantly easier than when both have to be removed from the grill separately.

Expandable with PAL and ModiFIRE accessories

The Woodridge is equipped with the PAL Pop-And-Lock system. You can attach various compatible accessories to these rails, allowing you to customize the grill and workspace to suit your own barbecuing style.

In addition, the Woodridge is compatible with ModiFIRE accessories. This allows you to further expand the capabilities of the grilling system for various preparations.

Traeger Woodridge or Woodridge Pro?

The standard Woodridge is particularly interesting if you are looking for a spacious Traeger pellet grill with WiFIRE, automatic temperature control, EZ-Clean, and many expansion options, but do not want to pay for features you might not need.

The Traeger Woodridge Pro offers more cooking space and adds features such as Super Smoke, an integrated pellet sensor, and extra workspace. The Pro is particularly interesting if you regularly prepare low & slow dishes and value extra smoky flavor.

If you would also like an even more complete version with integrated storage and a more luxurious finish, you can take a look at the Traeger Woodridge Elite .

Who is the Traeger Woodridge suitable for?

The Traeger Woodridge is particularly suitable for barbecue enthusiasts who enjoy cooking with wood pellets but do not want to constantly adjust the fire themselves. Thanks to the digital temperature control and WiFIRE, it is accessible to beginners, while the spacious grilling surface and expansion options are also interesting for experienced barbecuers.

If you are primarily looking for a pellet grill that allows you to easily barbecue during the week and prepare long low & slow cooks on the weekend, the Woodridge offers many possibilities for its position within the Traeger Woodridge series.
