With the Big Green Egg Pizza Stone XL (46 cm), you can effortlessly bake pizzas with a crispy base and a fluffy crust, just like those from a real stone oven. This pizza stone is specially designed for the Big Green Egg XL and perfectly complements the heat distribution of your kamado barbecue.

The stone absorbs heat and releases it evenly, allowing your dough to cook quickly and evenly. This creates a perfect balance between a crispy crust and an airy texture. Ideal for pizzas, but also excellent for baking bread, focaccia, and other dough-based dishes.

Use the pizza stone in combination with a heat shield for indirect cooking and create a true oven environment in your kamado. This way, you get the most out of outdoor cooking and give every pizza session a professional result.

Specifications
Diameter: 46 cm
Suitable for: Big Green Egg XL and Big Green Egg 2XL

The Monolith Avantgarde .66 comes standard with a chip feeder set, split charcoal basket, deflector stones, drip trays, grate lifter, ash shovel, and the Smart Grid System with split grill grates.

A cast iron grate retains heat well and produces beautiful grill marks, but it does require maintenance. Preferably clean the grate while it is still warm with a suitable brush. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or dishwashing liquid, as this can damage the protective coating.

After cleaning, lightly rub the grate with heat-resistant oil. If rust forms, brush it away and season the grate again. This keeps the cast iron better protected and builds up a natural non-stick coating.

Clean a Monolith plancha while it is still warm. Scrape off baking residue and, if necessary, use a little hot water to remove stubborn residue. Preferably do not use dishwashing liquid, as this can damage the built-up protective layer.

Dry the plancha thoroughly and then rub it thinly with oil. Regular use creates a natural cooking surface, which prevents food from sticking as easily and keeps the plancha better protected against rust.
