Met de Vulcano kun je gemakkelijk grillen met directe hitte, waardoor het vlees snel dichtschroeit en de sappen en smaken goed behouden blijven. Dit zorgt ook voor een heerlijk knapperig korstje op het vlees. Bij indirect grillen met de Vulcano fungeert de Kamado als een oven, waardoor je ingrediënten langzaam op lagere temperatuur kunt garen. Daarnaast kan de Vulcano uitstekend dienen als wokstandaard. Plaats de wokpan op de Vulcano zodra de kolen gloeien, maar zorg ervoor dat je de Vulcano niet helemaal tot aan de rand vult om een goede zuurstoftoevoer te behouden. The Kamado
It all began during Japan’s Edo period (1603–1867) — the start of a remarkable culinary era. Samurai and wealthy merchants enjoyed lavish meals, leading restaurants to develop large cooking stoves. This was the birth of the Kamado.
The Kamado played a key role in the evolution of Japanese gastronomy. It wasn’t until after World War II that Kamados became known in the Western world, when the U.S. military noticed these cooking devices being used by the Japanese army.
